Our Volunteer Support team have confirmed the next scheduled training courses to take us up to spring 2022.

Section Leadership Teams

If you’re a member of a Section Leadership Team, your training is split into three parts:

  1. Getting Started: all of these courses should be undertaken via eLearning, within the first five months of your appointment. The Safety and Safeguarding elements require renewal every three years.
  2. Getting Going: we’ve structured the modules that make up this training in to seven half day sessions, which should be completed within three years of your appointment.
  3. First Response: we currently have a number of delivery methods, from part online (with face to face validation) to full face to face training.

Manager and Supporters

If you’re a Manager or Supporter, your training is split into three parts:

  • Getting Started: all of these courses should be undertaken via eLearning, within the first five months of your appointment. The Safety and Safeguarding elements require renewal every three years.
  • Manager and Supporter: we’ve structured the modules that make up this training in to three courses which run over four full day sessions, which should be completed within three years of your appointment.
  • First Response: we currently have a number of delivery methods, from part online (with face to face validation) to full face to face training.

Executive Committee Members

If you’re a member of an Executive Committee, your training is split across five short modules, most of which is the equivalent of Getting Started, with the addition of ‘Trustee Induction’. All modules can be undertaken via eLearning.

The Safety and Safeguarding elements require renewal every three years.
