Scouts are a worldwide movement Young People aged between 10 and 14. It provides a wide range of adventurous, fun and exciting activities through which the Young People develop personally and as responsible citizens. Scouting is about being with friends, part of a team, and participating fully in the adventure and opportunities of life.

Never has there been a better time to be a part of the adventures of Scouting on Merseyside. From Archery to Zorbing, Merseyside Scouts offers a programme packed with fun and adventure available to all Young People.

Scout Section News

Troops across Merseyside - this is your section to send in and show off all the great activities you have been doing.

Please send in all of your photos, stories and reports and I will upload them onto the website.

Scout Bala

This camping weekend is open to Scouts, Explorers and Network Scouts, Leaders, Assistant Leaders and registered Skills Instructors as well as members of the Guide Association fromanywhere.  Members of other uniformed organisations will be considered at the discretion of the organiser.  The weekend is based on the water on Bala lake in North Wales and on land at a local farm.

This is a weekend for getting together, enjoying yourself and having a good time learning how to canoe.  Coaching is from Scout authorised personnel and or British Canoe Union qualified coaches from around the North West.  All organisation and coaching is done on a voluntary basis.
 

This year's dates are 11th - 13th May.

2012 Lord Derby County Skills Challenge.

The "Lord Derby" Challenge returned to Tawd Vale again this year and was another huge success. 18 Teams, comprising of over 100 Scouts from across Merseyside competed in 11 skills challenges which included Tent pitching, First Aid, Fire Lighting, pioneering skills and more. The skills demonstrated by the Scouts throughout the Challenge were excellent and the Districts have Scouts to be poud of. I would like to say a personal thank you to all of the Leaders who helped make this year's challenge so successful. Congratulations to 1st Southport Scout Troop on winning this year's Challenge, and I'm sure they will be back next year to defend their title!
