Welcome to the Beaver Scout section of our County website!
'The best thing we did was swim in the rain. I wasn't even sure we were allowed to, but it was brilliant! I mean we were wet anyway, so I guess it didn't matter too much about the weather.'
Beavers are our youngest members, and generally meet for an hour per week. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; being introduced to outdoor activities, having the opportunity to be creative, explore their local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout Sleepover with their friends.
The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. There is flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 5¾, and can move to Cubs between age 7½ and 8½ For further information, including information on further flexibility for young people with special needs, please refer to POR rules 3.7i and 3.11.
2016 sees Beaver celebrate their 80th Birthday! Look out for some fantastic events and activities to support this!
