Section Leader Training for the Remainder of 2018
The following courses will run during the remainder of 2018; until we launch an updated training course programme in 2019. Click on the date you require to book your place.
This informal course is intended for all new adult members within the County and will last for half a day. The course is an enhanced getting started that will seek to offer an exciting introduction to new adults and springboard both their membership to the movement and their training needs.
This full day course is intended for all new Beaver Scout, Cub Scout, Scout or Explorer Scout Leaders; or leaders who are moving between Sections. The course offers essential information on being a member of a Section Leadership Team as well as essential Section specific training.
Introduction to Residential Experiences
This one day course is a necessary requirement for all leaders.
This full day course is intended for all new Beaver Scout, Cub Scout, Scout and Explorer Scout Leaders or those wishing to refresh their basic skills knowledge
Section Leader Training from January 2019
From January 2019, our approach to delivering training will be changing. The Scout Association's core training modules for Section Leaders will be grouped in to 7 training courses; which can be seen in the diagram below.
Launching Our Revised Approach
We are holding a launch evening for Group Scout Leaders, District Commissioners and members of the Core Team. During this evening we will provide more information on how our approach to Section Leader Training is changing from January 2019 - and how you can support Section Leaders through their training.
