Adult Support > First Five Months

The effective recruitment, induction and retention of our adult volunteers is vital to making sure Scouting can continue to happen in communities across Merseyside

We know the first five months of an adult's time volunteering is crucial to providing them with the support they need to complete the adult appointments process, access the training they need and get involved in their new role.  If we get these right during this early stage in Scouting, new volunteers are more likely to stay with us in the long-term.

Our guide to the "First Five Months" provides an overview and associated links for adults that are involved in managing the first five months of a new adult volunteer's time in Scouting.
