Welcome to the newly updated Scout section of our County website!
Scouts are girls and boys between the ages of 10½ and 14½. They meet together in a Troop, which may have from 6 Scouts up to a maximum of 36.
We have been working hard to add all of the information you and your scouts need to enjoy a balanced programme here on Merseyside.

The Beavan Challenge

Saturday June 27th & Sunday June 29th 2008
For 30 years the Challenge has represented an annual opportunity for Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Guides, Ranger Guides and their supporters to join together in sporting competition and meet for a thoroughly enjoyable weekend.
All of the events will be based around the site area which will only require support teams to run your campsite. . If your Unit enjoys canoeing, hiking/ orienteering, mountain biking and other challenges then book the dates NOW.
This year we will be based on an easy access site at Forest Camp Sandiway, the Cheshire County Scout Campsite. Grid Ref 117/595695. Although the Camp Site will be available on Friday evening, the Challenge will commence on Saturday so that Teams not wishing to camp on Friday evening will have time to arrive. The Presentation of Trophies and Certificates will conclude the Event, as usual, around 2.30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
