Delph Lodge is open and ready for business!

The new buildings near the Delph have now been substantially completed and are ready for business. At the AGM of the Friends of Tawd Vale, the buildings were officially named as Delph Lodge and become the new activity centre for Merseyside Scouting. The Friends have been the focus of fund-raising for the new building and with the bequest from Brenda Gee the buildings will be a tribute to the generations of Scouts who have enjoyed the benefits of Tawd Vale. There will be an official opening later in the year, but the Lodge is already in use.

Featuring a large activity / dining room, kitchens, store rooms and separate bunk rooms for all age groups, the centre gives Tawd Vale an indoor facility that has replaced the now unserviceable Lathom Cabin. It is situated next to the shower block by the Delph and has a clear view across the water.

Bookings of course can be made through the usual channels, but start planning ahead – the Lodge was used the very first day it was assembled, and has already received a very positive report from those who have seen it.
