Scouting doesn't stop at 18, theres another 7 years available to you through the Scout Network!
Here in Merseyside we have one of the largest and easily recognisable networks in the country & we are looking forward to welcoming all Explorers upon reaching 18 years old.
Going off to Uni but don't want to give up Scouting?
Don't worry, you can register as a member of Merseyside network & we'll give you the details of the network in the area your studying in. If your a member from outside of Merseyside coming to study here your more than welcome to register as a member of Merseyside network, it's a descision you'll never regret!
With an active programme and an enthusiastic network team you'll love being a member of Merseyside Network.
Advice for Leaders...
Do you have members approaching Network age? If so please read the checklist below so that together we can help members move on to the next step.
- Get in contact with Helene Wareing, the Network Administrator, her e-mail address is admin@scout-network.com she will be able to send you welcome packs, registration forms & contact details for your district contact.
- Contact your Local Network Contact and ask them to come and speak to your Unit, the Network is happy to visit all Explorers approaching Network age.
- Give your members the Network Website address - www.scout-network.com here they can see all of the activities we are currently running and the events we are attending.
- Encourage your members to get in contact with the Network themselves. The Network Forum & local area sections on the website are the perfect place to start.
Advice for Explorers...
Are you aproaching 18? Wondering what comes next? Its time to find out about the Network!
- Your first stop should be www.scout-network.com our official county network website. Here you can see all the activites we are currently running & find out the details for your district contact.
- Take a look at the Welcome Pack and complete the Network registration form to send your details into the Network Administrator Janet Gathercole.
- Join the county Network Forum & start posting messages within the Explorer Section. If you have any questions this is the place to get them answered.
- Send an e-mail to your Local Network Contact you can find your locan contact in the local area sections, work out which area your from and visit their section of our website.
- Invite the network to your Explorer unit meeting - speak to your Leader & ask them to arrange a visit from the Network. This is the best way to meet the network members & ask any questions you may have.
