We are always looking for new volunteers to take on leadership and support roles within Team Merseyside and welcome expressions of interest from anyone willing and able to get involved in our work. This area of the site advertises specific roles that are currently available within Team Merseyside. You can nominate yourself, or someone else, please download the nomination form, available on the right hand side of this page. If you'd like to chat about a role, then we'd love you to get in touch. Each role will normally have contact information of the most appropriate member of the team to contact.

Assistant County Commissioner for Beaver Scouts

We're looking for a volunteer to lead and develop our support to the Beaver Scout section across #TeamMerseyside. Some of the key areas of work of our media team are:

  • Supporting our team of Assistant District Commissioners with delivering a quality programme to Beaver Scouts across the County
  • Developing opportunities to deliver hard to reach areas of the Beaver Scout programme
  • Working with the Programme Team to develop and deliver programme related County events and activities
  • Working with the Programme Team to deliver events that celebrate the achievements of young people across the County 
It's a great opportunity to make a real difference and you'll have the opportunity to work with our Programme Team.

Young Leader Training Manager

We have a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about ensuring Merseyside's 300+ Young Leaders have the chance to access high quality training to help them deliver everyday adventure and skills for life to over 8000 young people every week of the year. You'll use your energy and creativity to:

  • develop and deliver the County Young Leader training provision
  • enable our young people to complete the Missions and achieve the Young Leader Belt Buckle
  • provide advice and support to our District ESL (Young Leader) and their teams
  • work with the wider Programme team to deliver on events to celebrate the achievements of young people across the County

Local Training Managers:

5 seperate roles to cover Crosby, Liverpool North, Liverpool South, Southport and West Wirral Districts

Every year we help over 8,000 young people in Merseyside enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Working alongside our youth members are over 2,000 adult volunteers, in a huge variety of roles leading our youth sections or supporting those that do.

We have a great opportunity to join the Adult Support team to help our adult volunteers to develop their skills and experience so that they in turn can deliver a brilliant programme of activities for our young people.

The role will involve:

  • Recruiting and managing Training Advisors.
  • Ensuring that all adult training records are accurate and up to date.
  • Working with the County Training Manager and wider Adult Support team to plan and manage the delivery of learning opportunities in their area of responsibility.
  • Play a key role in the development of training opportunities across Team Merseyside
