Merseyside Scout County
was formed in 1974 following local government re-organisation
in the UK.
The County now comprises the five Metropolitan
Boroughs of Knowsley, St. Helens, Sefton, Wirral, and the
City of Liverpool.
Merseyside County comprises
15 Districts and contains inner city, urban, seaside and rural
areas giving an interesting mix of communities.
The County has always
been fortunate in having the Lord Lieutenant as its President.
Dame Lorna Muirhead currently occupies that role and represents
and supports Scouting on Merseyside in a very positive manner. |
