A Summary of Matters Considered at the February 2008 Meeting of the County Executive and Finance & General Purposes Committees

• LCC grant applications for the 14-18 programme were considered and all applicants were partially supported;
• Applications for the financial support for the young persons programme were considered and agreed in principal;
• Staff salaries were reviewed;
• Management Accounts were tabled and accepted, all within budget;
• The CC gave a brief report, he considered One Vision would be complete in 2008;
• Tawd Vale was covering costs, it was agreed to provide additional funds to complete outstanding development work;
• A health & safety issue at Tawd Vale was noted;
• A very positive report on Adult Support was welcomed, additional grant funding had been received;
• The future of BP's sword is to be considered;
• It was decided that the present system for nominations and elections to the County Executive would continue
